Charleston, WV native Rachel Proctor moved to Nashville in 1995 to pursue her dream of being a singer/songwriter. In 2002, Martina McBride recorded her song "Where Would You Be" which reached #3 on the Billboard Country Music Chart. Also in 2002 Rachel signed with BNA records and began recording her debut album "Where I Belong." Her first single "Days Like This" reached the Top 20 followed by the 2004 Top 20 country hit "Me and Emily." The album debuted at an impressive #8 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart.
After leaving BNA records Rachel released an independent EP called "Only Lonely Girl" in 2006.
Rachel, along with good friend Victoria Banks, and Jessica Simpson co-wrote Jessica's Top 20 debut country single "Come On Over." Rachel and Victoria also wrote Jessica's new single "Remember That" which was written from personal experience.
Rachel is currently writing for EMI music publishing and has released another independent album titled "What Didn't Kill Me."
