Jim Brown

Jim "Moose" Brown was born in Dearborn, MI. At age 3 Jim started playing piano by ear. Jim picked up the guitar at 12 years.  After moving to Nashville Jim landed jobs playing on the road for Jim Ed Brown, Marie Osmond, Bill Anderson, and Dan Seals. After time on the road Jim decided to focus his attention on studio work and quickly became a session keyboard player. Session work led to songwriting, which led to Jim's first publishing deal with SeaGayle Music in 2000. Jim's songwriting credits include the #1 smash "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" performed by Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffett, as well as Darryl Worley’s "If Something Should Happen." "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" tied a record for the longest #1 in history (8 weeks at #1) and earned Jim a Grammy Award in 2004 for Best Country Song. Jim's musicianship can be found on albums by Brad Paisley, Darryl Worley, Marty Stewart, Hank Williams Jr., Trick Pony, Deryl Dodd, Mark McGuinn, Jerry Springer, Steven Seagal, Chely Wright, and Phil Vassar just to mention a few.
